Did they tell you that you're a disappointment? Did they tell you that you are a failure? Did they tell you that you cannot achieve anything? Did they call you ugly names? Did they tell you that you are a loser? Did they tell you that you'd end up in an early marriage? Did they tell you that no one would ever support you?

Well, they told me all of the above plus more. The real question is; did I believe them? I did not but it hurt me
