Uraan-e-Banat Initiative

Uraan-e-Banat is a women-led social initiative dedicated to supporting girls’ education and menstrual health in the rural areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The initiative aims to provide free sanitary pads to girls studying in rural government schools, particularly those who face financial difficulties and miss school during menstruation due to a lack of access to menstrual hygiene products.

Our core initiative is simple:

“No girl should miss her education because of her period.”

Through Uraan-e-Banat, we aim to:

* Provide free sanitary pads to girls in rural government institutions.

* Promote awareness about menstrual hygiene and health.

* Reduce school absenteeism during menstruation.

* Support girls from financially disadvantaged communities.

* Create a safe and respectful environment where girls can openly learn about menstrual health.

* Encourage communities to understand that menstrual hygiene is a basic necessity, not a luxury.
