Our Anthem

If we say it hurts, it's not a bluff,

Stop mansplaining — we've had enough.

You never care, when we try to explain,

Then blame us why we didnot first complain.

We're told it's us — we play it small,

But we were never heard at all.

You call us loud, then call us weak,

You want us soft, but then critique

The rage we held, the tears we shed —

You only listen when we've bled.

You ask for proof, demand we show

The ways your silence let us go.

We grit our teeth, we guard our backs,

Still called too fragile when we crack.

We armor up to face each day,

Then bear the cost when we obey.

We're gaslit when we draw a line,

Dismissed as "moody," "past our prime."

If we resist, we’re labeled "cold,"

If we submit, then we’re controlled.

You say we choose the paths we're on —

But never saw the choice was gone.

This pain is real, not some charade,

Not just a phase, not just a shade.

So here we are — we've said it right.

Already done with the constant fight.

If we say it hurts, then take it as knowledge —

Don’t twist our pain to shield your privilege.
