Story

It is very nice to meet you from other side of the globe. I am very excited to experience this wonderful journey as a Correspondent representing Myanmar. Have you ever heard about my country before? What I can identify exactly about my country is it is very beautiful and the people are very lovely. Over the next five months, I wish we could share each other. It is my pleasure to learn many things from you.
In my name Shwe Wutt Hmon, “Shwe” means “Golden” and “Wutt Hmon” means “Pollen” and most of my friends call me Pollen. I am 24 and I got a bachelor on Information Technology last year.
Currently, I live in Yangon with my mom, dad and youngest sister. The younger sister is in Singapore studying.
I love books and music. Other hobbies are traveling and photographing and writing. I am keen on making friend and learning new things. I am fond on variety of nature.
My strengths are having many friends, being able to keep others’ secrets, valuing the honesty and brave. My weaknesses are indecisiveness, worrying too much, difficult to adapt when I face unanticipated situation.
My eight friends and I founded a small civil society organization named Metta Moe Myanmar in May, 2009. Psychosocial support, youth’s capacity building, citizenship and gender equality are my interest areas. Now, I am working as a facilitator in psychosocial support, capacity building and citizenship education trainings and also a peer counselor in the Myanmar team of SalusWorld(http://salusworld.org).
