I CAN SCREAM AND BE HEARD

I have always longed to write and impact the lives of people around me through my writing and other social works i do. I am a grass root women / opinion leader and into women rights in my little way in my community. i have tried to enlighten women on their fundamental human rights and especially as women. Sometimes I am misunderstood or will not be believed that they have the freedom to speak out, write, associate, education and live a quality life. I have sought ways in my little way to make them understand and will continue. I am overwhelmingly excited because I can sit anywhere and tell my stories and most importantly learn more from others through WEB 2.0.

WEB 2.0 is a powerful medium for our voices to be heard no matter whose ox is being goaded. Women who are timid and afraid to bare their minds can do so without anyone actually finding them out. Women from different walks of life can interact freely where ever they are. We can also tell the stories of other women we have met who may not have the opportunity themselves. Big or small, rich or poor, outcast or freeborn - these caste, segregation or barrier does not exist. it is a free for all for women globally who wants to be heard and those who do not, may get the encouragement by reading what others are also going through in life and get a life line.

WEB 2.0 has given me a good tool to scream, shout and vent my anger and frustration and joy in the everyday life of a woman and girl children. What we owe ourselves as sisters is education and re-orientation to enable us know that life is what we make of it. Take the bull by the horn and live. Do not allow anybody make you feel you are a nobody, a trash or outcast. Women violence in the street, offices and homes must stop and it is only by using WEB 2.0 and its many tools placed at our disposal - to cut across oceans, desserts & seas shall we achieve the change. The world must know how women (even as old as 80 year olds) are being raped, maltreated and stripped in the name of armed robbery, cultism, hooliganism, husbands and brothers etc.
