On Saturday 8 September i had a very interesting live radio discussion on Capitalk100.4fm Weekend Chart with host Charlene Mataure. The discussion was centered on How Parents/Guardians Can Prepare For Their Children's Poor Academic Results.
I strongly believe that the best type of #parenting is fair, flexible, respectful and has learning, rather than submission as its goal. Its also very important to open lines of communication with our kids and encourage them to develop a growth mindset, rather than a fixed mindset.
The takeaway? When your child is struggling on something or has setbacks, don't focus on their abilities, focus on what they can learn from it. How can you use this as a jumping-off point?
