I left the country and settled in the United States because of the government perpetrated genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka. Tens of thousands of Tamils were killed in the 2009 genocide. The Sri Lankan military persecuted Tamil women. Many women were raped and murdered. All these scenes were documented and showed them tortured in the camps without clothes. Despite given all documents to UN, nothing has happened yet. Parents continue to ask the Sri Lankan Government where their children are and are dying without answers of their whereabouts. I have been asking for human rights in various organizations like Amnesty, united nations, and Human rights watch for justice.
