From locked dreams to leaving my vision

Finding one's self is power on its own
Hello World Pulse family,
My name is Mamu Heidi Dateh. I am a film student, spoken word artist, and emerging fashion designer passionate about using creativity as a force for social change. Coming from a marginalized community, I understand what it means to grow up with limited access to opportunities and information. For a long time, my dreams felt locked, not because I didn’t want more, but because I didn’t know how much more was possible.
Now that I have found my voice and vision, I’m determined to help others unlock theirs. I am passionate about empowering young people to dream early, advocating for children’s rights, promoting women’s empowerment, and fostering gender peace. Through art, storytelling, and advocacy, I strive to amplify the voices of those often unheard and bring opportunities closer to those who need them most.
I’m truly excited to be part of the World Pulse community, a space where voices create change and stories build bridges. I look forward to learning from your experiences, sharing mine, and collaborating to create a world where every child and woman can thrive, dream, and be heard.
