DAY OF GIRL CHILD - HER VOICE IS HER POWER

GIRLS LISTENING TO THE SPEAKER ON THE DAY
Women Inspiration Development Center, Ile-Ife, Nigeria celebrated in a grand style the International Day of Girl Child on the 11th of October 2022. High school girls from 25 high schools and girls from 3 universities were invited to participate during the program. Eight speakers spoke on several topics that was related to theme of the day - "Digital generation, Our Generation"
Some of the topics were: Women's Right Online, Digital Right is a Human Right, when you See Something, Say Something, how far it is too far, protect yourself from human trafficking and many other charges from the big girls that was present that day
There was also talent show by one student from each school which was either song, poem or spoken words that is related to a Girl Child that day. The girls who were mainly from rural high school went home with imported roll on, soap and face towel which brought great excitement to the girls as they were receiving the gifts.
we are using this time to celebrate and appreciate our partner from UK, Ayodele Adejumo who sent us the roll on, soup and face towels that we distributed to the girls. It was indeed a wonderful celebration of the day.
