Money is the root of all evil. Gold mine caved in burying 15 young men. 8 people have been rescued and rushed to Kakamega General Hospital and we're in stable condition, while 7 others are still trapped. The police service equally intimated that rescue operations are currently underway to save the lives of the trapped miners.
I have been trying to lobbying for alternative means of drilling gold mine but goes on deaf ears when tragedy strikes is when government comes handy to rescue. Sad indeed and tomorrow our unemployed youth will go back to look for gold in the name of source of income. We are planning for community dialogue to save lives and come up with alternative source of income.
