BIKERS4EPILEPSY NPC

Hi there.

My name is Winter.

I am the founder and national director of the charity called BIKER4EPILEPSY that I started over 3 years ago. I have recently registared as an NPC in hopes of making funding more available. I can not continue to carry everything out of my own pocket.

My story starts after 1 December 2019. I was involved in a car accident that has changed my live.

Before the accident I had epilepsy, but after it I now have multiple forms with ptsd and a body in chronic pain.

I was a singer / performer before the accident. Never did I dream I will have to give up my once thought dream job.

Now I can say I am living my dream job, but running a charity that works for normal people and makes real impact.

We travel around South Africa to events biker / car shows, ect and with our stall provide invisible disabilities awareness, education and provide support.

We reach real people with real problems that effect a huge part of the everyday person on the street.

Most do feel intimidated or uneasy to reach out for advice or any help as there are expectations to get help you have to give first.

That is super inhuman and we have come across thousands of people via our method and given real explanations, clarity, facts all for free to the public.

The main reason is because invisible disabilities do not get fair representation, awareness or funding like some other medical conditions get.

Most invisible disabilities have no cures and need to have more research ect funding!

I have also trained my 3 dachshunds as service dogs and they travel with us inbetween and they help educate and save others.

2026 We are aiming to be funded in order to provide more services and help keep centers to stay open as we have a problem of centers closing down due to lack of funding or support.

So thats basically in short my story.
