Beyond the 16 Days: We Are the Movement to Orange the World

Faiza Farooq

The fight to end gender-based violence (GBV) doesn't stop on December 10th. It is a 365-day commitment.

The color Orange symbolizes a brighter future, free from violence. Our message is clear:

"Beyond the 16 Days, We Are the Movement to Orange the World."

Every single one of us—in our homes, workplaces, schools, and communities—is a vital part of this movement. We are the agents of change who will turn the tide.

ACT every day: Speak up, challenge harmful norms, and support survivors.

ADVOCATE every month: Demand policy changes and adequate funding for prevention and protection services.

COMMIT every year: Practice equality and respect in all your relationships.

Let the light of Orange shine daily. Our sustained action is our promise to survivors and future generations.
