The child in this photo is one of many all over the world that due to our silence suffers and dies. It not just wars which are financed by taxes etc but in Canada it's so many from different walks of life that are left to face challenges and poverty is a big killer here. Over 10,000 seniors in BC homeless and children malnourished families struggling to survive.
Then there is abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults in care or group homes
One woman died from despair after years of abuse by those who managed the group home she reported it but there was a cover up.
The false image created about canada is more that disturbing there are good people here fighting to change things but more need to come out of the silence this is not for bystanders
