Me: just thinking
Mental.Health awareness has become important for young girls in the teenage age. It seems msny young girls are struggling with depression and low self esteem
Over the weekend, I was gisting with my daughter and she told me the story of a course mate who tried taking her own life because a guy "broke her heart".
This got me thinking - as parents, are we truly close enough to our kids?
Who could make a girl with a bright future want to take her life over a man?
As parents we are often busy chasing money and providing their materials needs without giving these kids the love and attention they crave in their teenage years
Incidents like this are becoming rampant among young boys and girls in tertiary institution
We need to teach our daughters to love themselves and see their worth beyond a man's love.
There should be a safe place for young girls going through emotio6n stress to seek counsel.
Mental health awareness has become paramount. Not everyone looking good is actually fine.
When these kids gets to teenage age, we need to draw them closers, make them our friends and guide them through life ups and down.
In life, there will be trying times, these teenagers need to be prepared ahead.
A failed report marriage is not the end of the world.
Mother's encourage your daughters to love themselves and feel confident in your love for them as parents
Fathers too can help, teach your daughters how they should be treated with love and respect. Buys them gifts, take your daughter's on dates and compliments them. These little things can boost their self esteem
It breaks my heart that parents will spend alot for their child's education and the child wants to end it all over little life challenges.
Let's help out daughters understand they are Queens in the making and should be able to walk away from disrespect with their heads high.
If we give them the love and support they need, they wouldn't search for validation in the wrong places.
Parents observe your kids and get them the necessary help they need if you suspect depression.
