## From an Idea to a Collective: Building DigitalHER Lebanon

I’m currently working on the concept and action plan for **DigitalHER Lebanon — Women’s Digital Power & Economic Justice Collective**, while actively exploring potential collaborations, partnerships, and funding opportunities to turn the idea into a meaningful initiative.

The starting point is simple, but the ambition is bigger:

**Women should not only have access to technology. They should have digital power.**

DigitalHER Lebanon is being designed around four interconnected areas:

🌱 **Digital Economic Justice**

Supporting women to develop practical skills in AI and digital tools, online work, entrepreneurship, financial and digital literacy, and digital marketing so they can access opportunities and strengthen their economic independence.

🛡️ **Digital Safety & Rights**

Creating awareness around online harassment, privacy, cybersecurity, digital rights, and safer digital participation—particularly for women who use digital spaces for advocacy, work, and community leadership.

🤝 **Women’s Collective Action**

Moving beyond individual training. Women would come together to identify common barriers, gather community evidence, develop solutions, and collectively advocate for change.

For example, if women identify barriers to accessing digital employment, the collective could research those barriers, document experiences, develop recommendations, and engage employers, NGOs, and decision-makers.

That transforms training into **collective power and action**.

✨ **Women-Led Leadership**

Participants could grow into digital trainers, mentors, community organizers, advocates, and digital storytellers—creating a multiplier effect beyond the initial group.

I also want DigitalHER Lebanon to be genuinely **intersectional and community-led**.

The initiative is being designed to include women and marginalized communities experiencing different forms of exclusion, with their voices shaping the priorities, activities, and definition of success.

One idea I am particularly interested in developing is a **DigitalHER Steering Collective** made up of women from different communities who can meaningfully participate in decisions about what the initiative should address and how it should evolve.

At this stage, I am not simply looking for funding.

I am looking for ** the right people, organizations, networks, and institutions to collaborate with**—partners who can contribute expertise, community connections, mentorship, digital knowledge, advocacy experience, resources, or funding.

I believe that strong initiatives are rarely built by one person alone.

They are built through the **right match between people, purpose, expertise, community, opportunity, and resources. **

That is what I am currently working toward with DigitalHER Lebanon:

**Learn → Create → Earn → Connect → Lead → Change**

The goal is not simply to train women to use digital tools.

The goal is to help women use those tools to **create opportunities, build collective power, amplify their voices, and participate in decisions affecting their lives.**

If you are an organization, feminist movement, technology organization, community leader, funder, mentor, or potential partner interested in **women’s digital empowerment, economic justice, digital rights, or collective action in Lebanon**, I would be very interested in connecting and exploring what we could build together.

Sometimes the first step toward change is not having all the answers.

It is **finding the right people to build the answers together.**
